03 Jun:  Kelso 1½-2½ Selkirk B

03 May 2025: Surprise victory for SElkirk B

Kelso did default on board 4, which put them at an immediate disadvantage, but still a creditable and unexpected victory for Selkirk B.   A win by Sam Cornwell and a draw by by John Moore gave Selkirk the points they needed.  On board 2, Kelso's Ian Whittaker scored a point against Mark Gardiner, but it wasn't enough to save the team.

This was Kelso's only defeat of the season, but it does not affect the League as Kelso had already won the title with two rounds to spare.  Well played Kelso, and there is only the Gala v NHS match still to be played.

Full board results for this match (plus the Cornwell-Armstrong game) are on the Matches page...
